GEORGINA BARRERA
Georgina Barrera is the owner of Villa Children’s Therapy. She has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 25 years. Although her early experience was working with adults in the sub-acute, inpatient rehabilitation hospital and nursing home settings, most of her experience has been working with children in the school, clinic, and home health settings.
Her experience has allowed her to grow in the areas of articulation, fluency, autism, language development, including language as it affects literacy, and feeding disorders. She never planned on owning a business, however, after working in the private sector for several years, she decided that she had more to offer patients and employees by running her own company.
Born and raised in El Paso, Georgina has been happily married to her husband for 29 years and has been blessed with 3 amazing children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. She is proud to be able to help children and their families in the El Paso community and hopes to continue to give children a voice for years to come.
